Since 2015, DC Affordable Law Firm has worked to close the civil justice gap in the District of Columbia — delivering high-quality, client-centered legal services to modest- and lower-income residents while cultivating a new generation of rigorously trained public interest attorneys. On June 10, join us at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company for DC Affordable Law Firm's 2026 Celebration of Accessible Justice, an evening of community and celebration honoring the mentors, supervisors, alumni, volunteers, and partners who champion justice through their commitment to serving others, the fellows who work to build a more equitable future, and the community members DCALF is proud to walk alongside.
With more than 75 public interest careers launched, thousands of clients served through fellows’ direct representation, and over 75% of DCALF Fellowship alumni continuing in public interest, public service, or practice areas first cultivated at DCALF, DC Affordable Law Firm’s distinctive, award-winning fellowship programs have proven both powerful and enduring — advancing individual lives while strengthening the broader civil justice system.
As we look ahead, we are committed to deepening and expanding DCALF’s in-house fellowship offerings and innovative free legal services programs — the engines that drive our impact and bridge civil justice gaps for families who would otherwise face the legal system alone.
